Our 2012 - 2013 Curriculum Choices

If you are hoping over from the NBTS Blog Hop... WELCOME! If not, head over and check out all of the bloggers who have linked up their curriculum choices. =}

This school year is all about discipleship, stewardship, and servanthood. Our Biblical Homeschool Philosophy should reflect that in our curriculum choices. We also believe, like Charlotte Mason, that learning is an environment, not a set time for teaching. We look for opportunities to learn beyond our curriculum, printables, or book choices. We do this by giving our children a smorgasbord of information and they are free to pick from it what they learn... and retain for the future. So far, I'm happy to say this is working for us.

This year, I have a 9 year old boy, and a 16 year old girl. Grade levels don't really matter to me {anymore} at this point... so I've decided to share what we will have available for learning, in our home. Surprisingly, we overlap curriculum for both kids... meaning they share a lot of the same books, successfully. The only difference is that this year I'm preparing my 16 year old more for life... as she heads to that rip 'ol age of... legal adulthood.
